Jeff Hippler is a Corporate Fellow, responsible for using his internal and external relationships to support the growth of AVN’s people, technology, and businesses. He also contributes to the execution of clients’ projects through his roles as Principal Investigator and Subject Matter Expert. Dr. Hippler joined AVN in 2013 as a Senior Chemical Engineer. Since then, he has helped to implement AVN’s laboratory control system strategy, managed the equipment inventory/facilities plan, and created a strategy for AVN’s chemical inventory. Prior to joining AVN, Dr. Hippler worked as a Site Manager, Director of Process Development, and Senior Director of Process Development at Aurora Algae, Inc., as a Technical Leader in Reaction Engineering at Dow Chemical Company, Inc., as a Senior Engineer, Staff Engineer, Research Scientist, and Principal Engineer with Union Carbide Corporation.

Dr. Hippler holds ten patents, many in processing algae, making polyethylene glycol compounds, and converting hydrocarbons to a chlorohydrin. Dr. Hippler received a bachelor of science in Chemical Engineering and a master of science in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
