The Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research & Innovation Center has entered a phase of leadership transition at the chief executive level. However, MATRIC has in place the elements necessary for continued success: nationally and internationally recognized experts, highly-experienced administrators, professional and technical staff averaging 25 years of experience, and unique research and pilot plant facilities. In combination, these components foster market-focused business development.
Such attributes have allowed MATRIC to develop a global customer base in the chemical, energy, environmental and advanced software industries. MATRIC has grown from less than 10 employees in 2005 to almost 150 today, with cumulative revenues exceeding $50 million in 2012.
MATRIC staff and customers have received national innovation awards and, earlier this week, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce recognized MATRIC as a significant regional resource. The MATRIC staff and board are committed to continue providing exceptional customer service, regional economic development and high-tech jobs for the future.
