Joel Chittum has joined MATRIC as a new software developer. In this role, he will be a part of the Advanced Software Technologies team and will be working on the development of a platform to integrate multiple geologic modeling tools.

Previously, Joel worked on the Comprehensive Large Array-data Stewardship System (CLASS) developed for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va., January 12, 2017 – Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research & Innovation Center (MATRIC) announced today that Thomas A. Heywood has succeeded Gregory S. Babe as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective Jan. 1, 2017.

Babe served as Chairman since 2014 will remain a member of the board.
